In our last newsletter, we mentioned our upcoming September conference, so now that the Summer has come to a close, we wanted to give you all the details on our wonderful lineup!

Host - Rachael Heffer
Rachael is the Head of Mission at Evangelical Alliance. She worked for British Youth for Christ for 13 years before working for four years with the Diocese of Ely as youth adviser – developing training, resources, and strategy to equip churches in their outreach to young people. Rachael is married to Darren and lives in Ely, Cambs with her two sons, Jacob and Isaac. She is passionate about evangelism, mission, and church unity, and is very involved in her local church – overseeing the youth work and ministry to teenage girls in particular. She is a trained coach and mentor, loves travel, languages, shoes, and is a reluctant soccer-mum!
Worship - Lou Fellingham
Lou has been ever-present in the music industry for the last 28 years. An internationally known worship leader, ten albums into a firmly-established ministry, she is known for her prophetic edge, distinctive voice, unwavering energy to see lives changed through the power of music and word. Lou is married to Nathan and they have 3 children. They live in Brighton where they enjoy being outdoors, food, hanging with friends and family and movies. They are part of Emmanuel Church in Brighton and are actively involved in leading worship there.
Speaker - Bishop of Carlisle James Newcombe
James Newcombe is the Bishop of the Diocese of Carlisle, and the co-chair of Re-imagining Care, a commission set up by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York. He is the Lead Bishop on Health and Social Care and medical ethics and sits in the House of Lords. We’re so excited to hear what he has to say to us.
Speaker - Jamie Hill
Jamie joined Faith in Later Life in November 2021, and has had a wide experience in Christian leadership having held various leadership roles, and has led teams of many sizes. He is passionate about evangelism, collaboration and cross- generational ministry. Jamie is a worship leader and part of Ramp Church in Manchester, where he lives with his family.
Speaker - Jason Gardner, St Luke’s Blackburn
Jason is the resource church leader at St Luke's Blackburn alongside his wife Rachel. They landed in East Lancs in 2021 with the express focus on creating a faith family that would connect with all ages and their local community on the Bank Top and the Galligreaves Estate. Before that Jason has been a writer and speaker having worked ten years for the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity. Rachel and Jason have two fantastic kids, Daisy and Thomas, and a very fluffy poodle called Leo.

The conference will be taking place on Zoom on Saturday 17th September 2022, 9am-1pm, and will be all about how we can experience and celebrate life in all its fullness in later life, and how we as the church can be a part of that.
Single tickets are on sale now for £5, or alternatively, if you would like to host an in-person gathering yourself to watch the seminars together and talk about what’s being discussed, you can purchase a host ticket for £15 which will include a collection of resources to aid in taking your discussions further.
