Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you’re enjoyed the saharan weather outside, I was travelling over the weekend and I’m certain that air conditioning doesn’t exist in England. Wherever you are this week, I hope you’ve got a lovely patch of local shade you can hide under, a large bottle of water, and a good book to accompany you.

We’ve only got a few notices this week as we’ve got a lot coming down the pipeline in the weeks and months to come.

Clarification on Events

Last week I shared a promotional video and some information on an event we’re running for a local church in Sussex, we received lots of interest and though we were thrilled to hear so many of you would like to come, that is a closed event for that particular church I’m afraid. Apologies for any miscommunication on my part. We shared the video because we’d love to come to your church too, we run events from time to time in different places and churches to encourage those of faith in later life, help churches to wrestle with how to provide for older disciples, and to help provide a space for questions and struggles through workshops. If you would like us to come to your church, please do speak to your church leaders and pass on our information.

Course Testers

This week we’ll be going ahead with the testing of our courses. Thanks so much to all of you who emailed to sign up. You should have received an email this morning with a couple of links and a few pointers. We’ve kept this intentionally light on instruction as we need to know how user friendly the courses are. If you have sent us an email to ask to be a tester and you haven’t received anything from us this morning, please let us know so we can rectify that.

Training Session Emails

Last week we changed the way we sent out Training Session invites as it had become clear that many of our Church Champions weren’t receiving the emails. The change was immediate and we received the highest number of response emails this year so far, which we hope means that the issue has been resolved. If you are still not receiving those emails, or you’d like to become a Church Champion, please contact anna@faithinlaterlife.org and let her know.

Prayer Points

This week we’d love you to please pray for:

• Our upcoming September conference

• The continued growth of the Church Champion Network

• For older people struggling with the cost of living and inflation and not sure how they’ll make it through
