Faith in Later Life Newsletter 01/07/2022
Before I say anything else, thank you so much to those of you who responded to the last newsletter to offer your assistance in testing the new courses. We’ll be in touch soon if we haven’t already.
Stories
Over the next few months we would love to share as many stories as we can across our social media platforms to encourage Churches and Church Champions to continue in the work they are doing. To do so we need stories from you about what’s going well, new adventures in ministry, and even trials and difficulties God has helped you to overcome in working with older people in your churches and communities. If you’d be happy to share a story with us, could you respond to this email with the subject line “Story” followed by a paragraph or two about the story you’d like to share.
Faith in Later Life
We would love to know what encourages you most in your faith, especially now that things are more or less back to normal. The truth is that while we have a huge amount of information when it comes to youth and younger people, it’s not always easy to find this kind of information on people of Faith in Later Life. Over the next few weeks we’ll be asking more questions like this, as well as questions about the services we provide and how we can be doing more to encourage you.
Our mission statement is:
“Faith in Later Life exists to inspire and equip Christians to reach, serve and empower older people everywhere, through the local church.”
We’re committed to carrying that out, but we’d love your help to find out how we can do that better.
Events
We're headed to an event in a few weeks at a church in West Sussex, talking about what it means to have faith in later life. We can't wait to encourage people, both young and old, to press on in life, because God is not finished with them yet.
We love to see people of all ages at these events, both those there to be personally encouraged, as well as those there to honour, support, and serve the older people in their churches.
If you'd like to host an event like this, we'd love you to get in touch at: churchchampions@faithinlaterlife.org

Prayer
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and prayer requests, we love to read them and pray for you, so please do keep replying to this newsletter with any prayer requests you have.
This coming week we’d love you to pray for:
The upcoming church champions training session
That as many people as possible would attend
That people be encouraged
The evening session would prove to be a good option for attendees
Events - That God would speak to us as we prepare
The Faith in Later Life Annual Conference - That God would provide us with the right speakers, connections, and resources we need to make it the best we can.
Grace and Peace,
